From 30 June 2018 the merger of Councils current CCOs Hokitika Airport Limited (HAL) and Westland District Property Limited (WDPL) took effect. The newly merged CCO is known as Destination Westland Limited.

As a more commercially focused organisation, the company has restructured to take on additional management responsibilities from Westland District Council. Four departments were formed to achieve efficiencies, clarify roles and responsibilities for achievement of the requirements of the Company’s Statement of Intent.

We have 62 units within Hokitika and Ross. Priority is given to those aged 65+ years old. We currently have a waiting list, but if you would like to apply, fill in an application form or pick up a physical copy at Hokitika I-site (36 Weld Street).
